Jaden is the founder of Rooted North Portrait Studio and has been doing photography professionally for over 13 years. She has worked with over 350 newborns and countless more families and children. From her husband, Mark: “Jaden loves her family fiercely and is the best mama bear around. She has a sweet and sassy spirit and has that red-headed, ginger spunkiness to her. She truly has a gift for photography and is one of the best newborn photographers you’ll find. She loves Lotus drinks, family walks, and adventures with me and our boys.”
Mark is Jaden’s husband. He grew up in Greer, South Carolina and moved to Alaska in 2012. In addition to teaching, coaching, commercial fishing, he has helped Jaden add videography to Rooted North’s services. From Jaden: “Despite being a lifetime jock and mountain man, Mark has a unique eye for capturing real life. In 2019, he left his teaching career to join me and help run Rooted North. He’s an incredibly passionate family man. He is especially interested in capturing families in candid, real life moments and heading up the film and videography portion of Rooted North. He loves playing with our boys, making me laugh, and leading our family in all kinds of adventures!”
