Rooted North is a family owned photography business based out of small town Nikiski, Alaska; on the Kenai Peninsula. Jaden has 14 years of doing photography professionally under belt and started Rooted North Portrait Studio in 2016. We love capturing moments of your family that bring out your personalities and shows who you are. From the delicacy and awe of newborns to the beautiful chaos of families with kids and everything in between, our desire is to preserve the moments that make your family who you are. Whether at our studio, outdoors, or at your home, we have a heart for creating art that your family will cherish for years to come.
In 2020, we started offering videography to our lineup of services, as we realized the lack of professional studios who offer videography in our area, let alone paired with photography. Through the artwork we create of your family and the way we treat your family, you will see why Rooted North is quite the gem in little ole’ Nikiski, AK!
We have four amazing little boys- Silas (8), Owen (6), Porter (3), and Griffin (1). They light up our lives and their passion inspires us as parents and artists. Together, Mark and Jaden love each other, their boys, Jesus, and any adventures that come their way!
